COVID-19 Virus Practice Update

March 12, 2020

We are deeply saddened by the recent developments in our community and across the globe related to the COVID-19 virus.

We would like to provide an update on the actions we are taking to help support the health and well-being of our patients, our employees, and our community.

  1. We are following the guidelines set forth by the CDC, Ingham County Health Department, and the Michigan Department of Health.
  2. Our preparation for the possibility of an outbreak in our community started weeks ago. We put into place a series of precautionary steps in response to the emerging situation. We have reviewed and updated our infection control policies, increased our cleaning and sanitizing, and have established a protocol for patient interaction, which includes increased screening for potential exposure before a patient enters our practice.
  3. In order to maintain a safe environment for our patients and staff, we will suspend the scheduling of individuals who are ill or are experiencing upper respiratory symptoms. It is recommended that symptomatic patients contact their primary care physician.
