With the season of weddings, graduation parties, reunions, bachelorette parties, retirement celebrations, and milestone birthdays just around the corner, it’s likely you’ve got a lot of exciting events coming up. If you’re hoping to look your best on your big day, then our skincare team can help! A little planning ahead will ensure that you get optimal results when you need them. Here’s what to know about timing your skincare treatment so you can wow your friends and family with your most radiant, youthful self.

HydraFacial®: 1-3 Days Before

If you need a quick boost for your skin, the HydraFacial® is your best option. This dermal infusion treatment can provide noticeable brightening and hydration, along with a deep clean and exfoliation. It’s a great option for anyone looking for overall improvement – there’s no downtime and you’ll see instant results. After a HydraFacial, your skin will look best 1-3 days after – you should have your treatment the day before at the latest, so you have time for any redness to subside.

Microdermabrasion: 1-2 Weeks Before

Microdermabrasion is a professional-grade exfoliation treatment that can get rid of dry, textured skin for a healthy glow. If you’ve had a microdermabrasion before, then 1-2 weeks should suffice. If you haven’t, it’s better to give yourself 2-3 weeks before your big event – just in case it takes longer for any redness to go away.

BOTOX®: 1-2 Weeks Before

BOTOX® is one of the most popular and effective ways to smooth wrinkles on the brow and around the eyes. It can also be used for a multitude of other cosmetic improvements. It can take 1-2 weeks for the product to take full effect, though. If you’re re-upping your BOTOX from a previous treatment, then 1-2 should be enough. If it’s your first time or a new treatment area, consider giving yourself an additional 1-2 weeks in case you need to return for more units after the first round.

Dermal Fillers: 2 Weeks Before

Fillers will provide near-instant results if you want to add a little volume to areas like the cheeks, lips, or nasolabial lines. However, it can take about 2 weeks for any bruising and swelling to subside. You can help reduce the chance of bruising by avoiding blood thinners like ibuprofen or naproxen before and after your treatment, along with following some other pre-and post-treatment instructions.

Morpheus8: 4-6 Weeks Before

Morpheus8 is a radiofrequency microneedling treatment that can transform your skin if you have more significant concerns like laxity and aging. For any single treatment, your results will begin to emerge at about 4-6 weeks. However, for best results, you might need a package of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart (which puts you at about 3-4 months ahead of your big day).

Kybella®: 6-8 Weeks Before

Kybella® is a revolutionary, fat-dissolving treatment for under the chin. With a series of injections, it can slim and contour the jawline. However, it can cause side effects like swelling and bruising, so make sure to give yourself 6-8 weeks to recover. If you need a package of treatments, our team can help you schedule your final appointment 6-8 weeks before your event.

CoolSculpting®: 3-4 Months Before

CoolSculpting® can help diminish stubborn fat with long-term results. For a single treatment, make sure to give yourself 3-4 months for your final results to emerge. Depending on your circumstances, you may need a package of treatments, in which case our team can help work around your schedule.
